The start of any good building project will require an architect to know what they are working with. Topographic Land Surveys produce a detailed drawing of the land to be developed. The survey will show the total area of the land and all features such as buildings, streams, overhead wires, fences etc. It also shows the shape of the ground, usually displayed as contours.
Whatever size of survey your project requires we can help.
We have experience of surveying everything from residential gardens to agricultural fields, quarries, densley wooded hills and main roads.
Utilising a Leica Total Station and Leica Disto we can create accurate floor plans and Elevation plans for any size of building. These can be tailored to suit different purposes such as allowing architects to plan a full renovation or creating a floor plan useful in house sales.
Past projects have included:
A 3 story hotel in the centre of Edinburgh;
Multiple office and warehouse spaces in Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth and Glasgow;
A full 3D survey of a gothic church in Galashiels;
Various floor plans of residential properties.
By using control points and high precision survey equipment we can set out any area of site quickly and accurately.
Utilising GPS equipment we are able to set out in remote areas such as for estate fence lines or wind turbines.
In the past we have worked on large housing developments and public buildings in the Scottish Borders, Central Scotland and Fife setting out everything from drainage, services and roads to house foundations and property fence lines.
We work closely with the site agent, ground workers and builders to ensure the project flows correctly.
We also provide holiday cover for your full time site engineers.
Setting out is provided by our sister company KGLS Setting Out Services Ltd.
All draughting work considered.
Any survey that we carry out would normally be deliverd, via email, in either 2D or 3D AutoCAD dwg format files and PDF versions.
Plans ready for printing, 3D views, feu plans or cross sections can all be created if needed.
